Brush with greatness: A former student of mine somehow got into a conversation with David Byrne, and described the astronomy research that she and I did together (in the context of him asking if she had his albums, and her mentioning that she and I had listened to several of them while observing together at a telescope in the Andes mountains in Chile). At the end of the conversation, he told her to say hello to her "observing partners" for him.

Interesting places I've been: Observatories in beautiful mountain-top settings in Chile, Hawaii, and Arizona.
